October's monthly race is coming down to the wire as four users are within one of the top spot. There are more than twenty matchups to choose from today, with college football the usual Saturday mainstay.
Before the football starts there are three Eurosoccer matchups on the board. Tottenham travels to Arsenal, Bayern Munich plays at Stuttgart, and Liverpool makes the trip to Fulham.
At noon there are a couple "larger victory margin" options. BCS contenders Iowa and Cincinnati both need to keep winning to impress the pollsters and the computers. Iowa is without their starting RB but it shouldn't matter as they host Indiana; the Bearcats visit hapless Syracuse and Greg "Mr. Interception" Paulus.
The World Series shifts to Philly all tied at one game each. Scheduled to throw from the bump are Andy Pettite and Cole Hamels.
NCAA Football - USC Trojans at Oregon Ducks
Streak HQ expects this clash to live up to expectations. The Ducks have been unstoppable since their opening disaster against Boise State, but the Trojans have the personnel on defense to stop Oregon's slashing running attack. On the flip side, USC's offense has run hot or cold all season - interceptions are a worry against Oregon's big play defenders. We're calling the Ducks to win this one by under a touchdown.
The Blazers try to rebound from Thursday's collapse against the Nuggets, but they'll have to do it on the road in Houston.
Streakers repeated at 47 percent as some good calls were undone by French tennis and the South Florida Bulls.
After early tennis and soccer, it's an evening of basketball, hockey, and college football.
The Knicks and Bobcats both hope to get off the schneid when they tip off in Charlotte.
ESPN's Celtics-Bulls tilt is expected to be a romp, so on the Streak it's paired with the Hornets-Kings clash in a victory margin battle. The sportsbooks have both home teams favored by about 12 points.
NCAA Football - West Virginia at South Florida
West Virginia has needed a second-half comeback in its last two games, but are slightly favored over the Bulls, who will focus on stopping WVU star running back Noel Devine. The Bulls have struggled on offense since redshirt freshman B.J. Daniels took over signal-calling from injured senior starter Matt Grothe.
We've posted a pair of late-night NHL games - Vancouver travels to Anaheim, and the Sharks host the Avalanche.
We end our night in Los Angeles, where Dirk and Kobe compete to see who can garner more points plus rebounds.
Streakers went a mediocre 47 percent after Brandon Roy broke out in the third quarter of last night's Blazers-Nuggets game, and then held off Melo's late charge.
A variety of sports today with golf, soccer and tennis in the morning/afternoon and hockey, baseball and basketball at night.
In soccer, the U.S. are favorites to win in group E of the U-17 World Cup and Algeria has the odds in game two.
For golf, Charley Hoffman and David Toms have the odds, while Benjamin Becker is the favorite in tennis.
On the ice, the Bruins, Lightning and Red Wings have the odds.
World Series Game 2: Phillies @ Yankees
Pedro returns to the Bronx for what should be entertaining to watch. The Phillies stole game one, can the Yankees even it up on their home turf?
Streakers came up big with a 63.1 overall win percentage. The only major breaker was the New York Yankees who fell at home to the Phillies. The Netherlands extended a few streaks as well.
A surprising large board today with soccer, baseball, basketball and hockey.
Lots of soccer today starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. The Netherlands have the odds in this one but later in the afternoon there are two matchups for each slot. Costa Rica, 2 or more goals, 2 goal or fewer and Liverpool have the odds.
NBA props for today will added in the morning but for now we have some hockey matchups and the Pistons (-3) at the Grizzlies.
World Series Game 1: Phillies @ Yankees
Good friends have at it on the mound at Yankee Stadium tonight at 7:57 p.m. ET. The Yankees have the odds at -150 but Cliff Lee and the Phillies have been playing great. Can they do it on the road though?
Another day below .500 with a 46.7 overall win percentage. Brazil and the Cavs were the top breakers while Switzerland extended a few streaks.
We try to give you as many windows as possible on this slow Tuesday. The NBA season starts tonight, which is great news for the upcoming months.
Some great soccer matchups on our networks in the morning and afternoon. Switzerland and Brazil are favored to win their respective matches in the U-17 World Cup while the road team in the German Cup has the odds with the draw.
Maybe a Eastern Conference Final preview in the NBA with the Celtics visiting the Cavs. Can the LeBron/Shaq duo get off to a hot start or will the big three (or four) be too much to handle? We also have a first half total points matchup between the L.A. squads.
NCAA Football: East Carolina @ Memphis
ECU is favored by four on the road but they may be looking ahead towards next week when they host Virginia Tech. Can the Pirates avoid the trap? Make your pick!
Streakers dipped below .500 once again, finishing with a 43.2 overall win percentage. The Eagles winning margin was the top streak breaker.
We calm down from the busy weekend, with Monday Night Football, low-grade Eurosoccer, and NHL.
It's been a while since the Danish Ligaen got some Streak love. AGF Aarhus hosts always-dangerous FC Nordsjælland; early Streakers are siding with the home team.
We then immediately head to Britain for English League Championship play - here Reading awaits Leicester City. In both of these games the road team gets the draw.
MNF: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins
The Redskins look like a team in disarray, with a poor record despite playing the softest opening schedule in NFL history. The Eagles are also coming off of a very disappointing performance, and would like to reassert their offensive dominance. The Streak thinks the Eagles will win handily, so we've put up a proposition matchup: will the Eagles win by more points than the Redskins will score?
The winless Toronto Maple Leafs visit Anaheim in our late-night hockey matchup.
A nice comeback Sunday by the Streakers, who counted (in a way) on JaMarcus Russell on their way to a 60 percent record.
The NFL has had a distinct lack of parity this season, and it shows up on Sunday Streak slates as fewer than half of the games this season have been listed as a straight-up matchup. Today is no different, with only three games getting the just-pick-the-winner treatment.
Is the Streakmaster getting soft? In the English Premier League's marquee morning matchup, we've given host Liverpool the draw against Manchester United. Even more surprising, early-picking Streakers don't seem to care as they still favor Man U to win outright.
NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Favres face their toughest test of the season when they visit the defending Super Bowl champions. Troy Polamalu returns for the Steelers.
We've put up a repeat proposition for the ALCS as Joe Girardi is sticking with Andy Pettite as his Game Six starter. Of equal importance: the weather bureau is forecasting sunny skies.
Sunday's board ends in Vancouver as the Oilers visit the Canucks.
A disappointing performance by the Miami Hurricanes dropped the Streakers below the 44 percent mark on Saturday.
The board is lighter than usual, as baseball is down to one series and the NHL takes it relatively easy. To help compensate, we've doubled up on the golf and the Eurosoccer.
Allsvenskan mediocrities Halmstad and Orebro SK take on one another in the earlier footie match. Orebro has both a far superior goal differential and is at home, so Halmstad gets the draw.
In the afternoon golf, Canadian Stephen Ames goes against Paul Goydos in a front-9 battle. Both players shot 66 in the opening round.
We can guess what Ames will be doing after his round - he'll be watching CFL action and playing the Streak as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats visit the Toronto Argonauts.
NBA Pre-Season: Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers
The regular NBA season is four days away, so ESPN is warming up with a couple broadcasts tonight. The later game features the champion Lakers and their post-Ariza look.
Streakers had hopes of a huge day, but the late Yankees collapse sent them under break-even.
11 matchups so far today with a possibility of five wins. We have golf, soccer, hockey, college football and MLB playoffs.
Scottsdale drew some big names this weekend as we can see from the board. Couples and Weir are the top choices this morning.
On the pitch, Benefica is on fire and has the odds at home, while FC Basel is the slight favorite with the draw on the road.
The Yankees look to finish off the Angels tonight when they send Burnett to the mound against Lackey. The Angels need some luck on their side after that terrible loss Tuesday night.
Florida State @ North Carolina
Looking at the records, you would think the Tar Heels would win this one easily but "not so fast my friends!". The StreakMaster's intern is from FSU and thinks the Seminoles have UNC's number. Right now, it's the Tar Heels by 3, what do you think?
Streakers bounced back last night with a 61.4 winning percentage. The "under" in the EuroLeague and the Dodgers were the big breakers.
Shooting for another four-win day from Streakers including basketball, soccer, football and of course, hockey.
In EuroLeague action, the battle of the big "O's" take center stage on ESPN360. The over is getting all the action in the first half, even though it's even odds. We also have everybody's favorite, Manchester United on the board on the road at CSKA Moscow.
The Champions League dominates the afternoon slot with Chelsea hosting Atletico Madrid and Kaka faces his old team, AC Milan in Spain. Can he outscore his old squad?
In Hockey action, the Hurricanes and Sabres are favored.
NLCS Game 5: Dodgers @ Phillies
The Phils look to put the Dodgers away at home with Cole Hamels on the hill. He squares off against Padilla who is on a roll for L.A. The Phillies are the smart pick here but anything can happen in the playoffs as we already know.
Streakers dipped below .500 once again, netting a 45.9 winning percentage. The Yankees extended the most streaks while Sidney Crosby provided a heart-breaker after it was ruled he did not record a point in the first two periods.
Not a lot to choose from, but we try to make the most of it. Although we start in the afternoon, we will try to get you four-windows, so be on the look out for more props throughout the day.
Both soccer matchups have even odds, but Streakers so far love Arsenal on the road to win by more.
In hockey, "Sid The Kid" has the crowd on his side for our first prop, while the second period is getting all the love in the Blue Jackets/Flames game.
ALCS Game 4: Yankees @ Angels
The Angels pulled one out at home last night, can they keep the momentum or will the Yankees bats be too much. Having C.C. Sabathia one the mound can't hurt either.
The StreakMaster got the best of the entries, as they finished with a 42.9 overall win percentage. The Broncos saved some streaks while Hammarby disappointed a few people.
We have some soccer, both Championship Series games and a few matchups around the MNF game.
Hammarby has the edge with the draw on the road in the Swedish Allsvenskan while Fulham is expected to take the cake on ESPN2 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
For baseball, the Angels desperately need a win as they host the Yankees in game three. They have the line at -135. As for the NLCS, the Phillies have the edge at -117 with Blanton squaring off against Wolf.
Monday Night Football: Denver Broncos @ San Diego Chargers
The Broncos bring their 5-0 record to San Diego to take on the Chargers. The Chargers are three-point favorites but Streakers like the Broncos so far. For our props, Brandon Marshall and the Chargers have the edge odds-wise.
Streakers had a fun Sunday, netting a 61.4 overall win percentage. Three major breakers as Manchester City, the Eagles and the Giants all went down.
NFL dominates, with a late playoff baseball game as well.
The Dodgers travel to Philadelphia feeling fortunate to split the first two games in Los Angeles. The Phillies are starting Cliff Lee on the mound; the Dodgers counter with Hiroki Kuroda.
NFL: New York Giants at New Orleans Saints
The Saints scored early and often in this one, and never trailed as their offense overwhelmed the G-Men. Undefeated New Orleans is starting to think about a Super season.
Two 3-1 teams meet in the nightcap when Chicago travels to Atlanta. Oft-criticized QB Jay Cutler will need to be on the top of his game against a Falcons defense that plays tough at home.
It was a solid 60 percent Saturday for the Streakers who rallied behind the Texas Longhorns en route to their winning day.
Some great college football matchups, plus NHL and a MLB playoff game.
The Yankees are a heavy favorite in tonight's tilt, so we've made the game a proposition instead: will A.J. Burnett (scheduled to start for New York) be credited with the win?
NCAA Football: Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns
The Big 12 powerhouses face off once again in the Red River rivalry. Oklahoma looked to have the edge early, but after an injury to Sam Bradford, the game is currently tied in the third quarter.
Miss the wishbone? Georgia Tech is the answer, and they'll host Virginia Tech on ESPN2 in the early evening.
The Washington Huskies once again make the Streak. They visit Arizona State as sizable underdogs - surprisingly, early Streakers don't seem to care, as they slightly favor the Dawgs.
The (Pittsburgh) Panthers gave and the (Florida) Panthers took away as Streakers ended an up-and-down Friday at 54 percent.
A variety of sports throughout the day, but most importantly, it's a possible four-win day.
It's good to see David Duval back on our board as he goes up against Vaughn Taylor. Duval should have edge with the draw in hand. Also, how much do you trust Anthony Kim? Streakers are predicting he shoots over a 35 in his first nine holes.
In our first Cricket match for quite some time, Bangalore is the favorite at home with a -150 money line.
A couple of props surround the NLCS with Hamels going up against Kershaw in game one and we also ask which team will have more hits in innings 6-8.
NCAA Football: Cincinnati @ South Florida
Two unbeatens hit the field under the lights on our network at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Bearcats are favored at -3 but the Bulls are playing solid football and look to please the massive crowd in southern Florida.
An average day for Streakers, finishing the day with a 51.1 overall winning percentage. Germany was the biggest loser of the day while the Penguins extended a few streaks.
Back to a possible four-win day with a bunch of soccer, some NHL and a rare college football game.
In our first window, Germany is favored to win the game and have the lead at the half but if it's a tie, Finland wins our matchup.
Afternoon wise, the under has the odds in the Wales-Liechtenstein match and Switzerland is favored to take down Israel at home.
Tulsa hosts Boise State is a huge game for both sides. If Boise State wins they keep their perfect season hopes alive and they are favored by seven. With the spread so high we base props off the first half and Jeremy Avery's total yards.
World Cup Qualifying: Costa Rica @ United States
The U.S. already stamped their ticket to South Africa but Costa Rica desperately needs a win to keep their hopes alive. Streakers like the U.S. so far but that might be the wrong choice.
Streakers finished with a 46.1 winning percentage. The Red Wings were the top breaker but some streaks were extended by UL Monroe.
A slow day in the sports world but we try to make the best of it.
The semi-finals of the U-20 World Cup is here and Ghana is favored to beat Hungary and expect a ton of goals in the Brazil-Costa Rica game.
Expect an evening prop tonight too. We will get you guys a four-win day.
NCAAF: Arkansas State @ Louisiana-Monroe
The Sun Belt Conference gives us what we all want, college football on a Tuesday. What could be better? How about a projected close game with UL Monroe favored by two points. Enjoy the game.
Streakers had a solid day at 54.8 percent. The Jets were the only top breakers of the day but all the top streaks are safe.
The afternoon features an o/u on the CFL matchup between Calgary and Montreal. The over looks like the best play but we'll see. The Islanders also look to get their first win of the season against the Kings at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Phillies and Rockies game four! Cliff Lee heads back to the hill to get Philly back to the NLCS but the Rockies will try to keep the dream alive at home.
NFL: New York Jets @ Miami Dolphins
The Jets are favored by 2.5 on the road down south but Ronnie Brown will try to carry the load for the home squad. We also ask how the first points will be scored and who will record more, Mark Sanchez's first half passing yards or Ronnie Brown's total yards?
Streakers had a nice Sunday, earning a 65.4 overall winning percentage. Both Boston teams going down were the top breakers but the Colts helped out the rest.
There's soccer, golf, and even some playoff baseball - but as usual, an October Sunday is all about the NFL.
NFL: New England Patriots at Denver Broncos
The student tries to beat the master, but when you've got Kyle Orton instead of Tom Brady, it's a very tough proposition. At halftime, the Patriots have a comfortable 10-point lead.
With Saturday's weather postponement in Denver, there are two late MLB playoff games to play. Minnesota needs to bounce back from Friday's heartbreaker if they wish to play again in 2009, while Colorado hopes home-field advantage helps the overcome Phillies' star rookie J. A. Happ.
The 4-0 Colts and 0-4 Titans have opposite records as they head into Sunday's NFL night game. Streakers don't expect anything to change, as they are currently choosing Indy by a 97-3 margin.
Streakers continued their losing ways with another sub-50 percent performance.
A nice little Thursday ahead of us, although we get started a little later than usual. Golf, soccer, hockey and MLB playoffs are on the board, spread throughout the day.
In the soccer world, it's even odds with 1.5 goals at the half of the Qatar/Croatia International Friendly. Then, in Argentina, the win has the odds by a slim margin.
For NHL picks, the odds are in favor off the Flyers, Lightning, Oilers and the Kings.
A couple of props from the Rockies-Phillies game two. Will Hamels get the win? How many runs will be scored? The Red Sox-Angels and Cardinals-Dodgers are straight up.
NCAA Football: Nebraska @ Missouri
Missouri is at home and are underdogs by three at home in this Big 12 battle. Nebraska is a solid 3-1 and will be looking to play spoiler on the road tonight, and The StreakMaster is taking the Huskers tonight as well.
Streakers came out victorious over The StreakMaster, hitting a 68.5 overall winning percentage. The Cardinals were the top streak breaker even though they were on the road.
A variety of matchups today and we start the morning overseas once again. The smart play of the a.m. is the 25th minute or earlier option in the Uruguay/Brazil match because of the 3/4 odds. There should be a bunch of goals in that game.
In the afternoon, you can switch over to baseball if you'd like. The Phillies are a solid choice at home with Cliff Lee on the hill.
The Twins look to keep the momentum going against the best team of the year, the Yankees. With the Yanks heavily favored, we matched the Twins hits against Sabathia's strikeouts. A very even matchup.
A few interesting hockey props tonight too. Both Pittsburgh stars battle it out for points against each other and we have a more goals in a period matchup for the Canadiens/Canucks game.
NLDS Game 1: St. Louis Cardinals @ Los Angeles Dodgers
This is the best game of the night. The Dodgers are slightly favored at home but the Cards send Chris Carpenter to the hill in L.A. which is just as good. Expect a instant classic here, with the Cards as The StreakMaster's pick.
.475 was the overall winning percentage, not very good for a Tuesday. The only top streak breaker was the U-20 Czech Republic.
We start early with more U-20 World Cup action. With the matches total goals predicted over 3 goals, we ask will 2 or more be scored in the first half, or will it be 0 or 1? We also have match result matchups, one in the U-20 and the other in the Johnstones Paint Trophy tournament.
A rare college football game tonight with Troy (-5) favored at home against Middle Tennessee. Expect Troy to roll here.
MLB (Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins): Who will WIN the AL Central?
The Twins are at home here, which makes them the favorites at -150 but the Tigers have Porcello on the mound, who pitched well against the Twins his last time out. Who will take the AL Central crown?
Streakers bounced back nicely, finishing with a .600 winning percentage. Brett Favre's Vikings led the way with nearly 80% of Streakers making the pick.
The afternoon is filled with soccer with Odense BK favored at home in the Danish SAS-Ligaen, and the over has the odds in the EPL match between Aston Villa and Man City. As for the U-20 World Cup, remember we are in the round of 16 which means there must be a winner. But, for our matchup it is for the first 90 minutes plus injury time.
The over/under for Brett Favre TD passes is 1.5 so it was a perfect opportunity for this prop. The over seems like the play here. The Vikings are also -130 favorites to score first in the game. As for AP, he is projected to rush for about 130 yards, will 65 or more be in the second half?
MNF: Green Bay Packers @ Minnesota Vikings
Brett Favre faces his old team, what could be better? The Vikes are four-point favorites at home but Aaron Rogers will do his best to crash the party. Who will come out on top?
It wasn't too much fun this Sunday for Streakers as the fell a tad below .500 for the day. The Ravens were the top breakers of the day.
What's happening on Sunday?
Professional football - lots of it! Once again, every NFL game is on the Streak board. We've even listed the night game straight up, as we smell a Chargers upset victory over the Steelers.
Two powerhouses clash at the Bridge as Liverpool travels to Chelsea. With Didier Drogba returning, the Blues have a clear advantage, so Liverpool gets the draw as well.
The Chase is tightening up. In Sunday's race at Kansas, we've matched Jeff Gordon up against Tony Stewart. Both trail Chase leader Mark Martin by just over 100 points.
The Mercury and the Fever meet up for game 3 of the WNBA Finals. With the series tied 1-1, the winner will be on the brink of the championship in this best-of-five series. Indiana is the home team; you can catch the action at 4 p.m. on ESPN2.
NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos
Denver is an unlikely 3-0 after a miracle opener and two easy wins against the dregs of the league. Dallas is a threat to that perfect record, but likely will be without both Marion Barber and Felix Jones. With the Cowboys forced to go to an air attack, this game could be wide open.
Streakers rebounded from Friday's travesty, finishing back over 50 percent behind the dominant USC Trojans.
We were in a mood here at Streak HQ, so we decided to just fill up the board with any and all games that looked interesting. That's mostly college football, but there's some playoff-relevant baseball mixed in, and some more NHL season-openers.
There's one early EPL match on the board - Tottenham Hotspur visits the Bolton Wanderers. Early Streakers favor the Spurs, but veterans of the game know that the home team with the draw is always hard to overcome.
The morning college football is all Big Ten - Minnesota hosts Wisconsin, and Michigan State hosts Michigan. If you prefer your hitting on the ice, the Panthers and the Black Hawks have a rematch in Helsinki.
There's still one division race yet to be decided in major league baseball. The Twins trail the Tigers by just one game with two days remaining, but they've got a tough row to hoe as they face Zach Greinke. Detroit is at home against the White Sox - both games are listed straight up on the Streak.
NCAA Football: USC Trojans @ California Golden Bears
Is the Streak listing a gimme? No team in college football looked more overrated than the Bears last week, who gave up the last 42 points of the game at Oregon to lose by a final of 42-3. On the other side, the unimpressive Trojans are also dealing with the loss of Stefon Johnson. This game comes down to whether Jahvid Best can get loose - if he doesn't, Kevin Riley will be under pressure all afternoon long, and Cal will take another loss.
Let's just say that so far the NHL has not been kind to Streakers.
It's crazy to think about how there are only two more months until the pick-off! But, here we are at the start of another month.
We start the month of with a 5-win day, so get on the board early and often. As always, golf is basically a coin-flip but at 12:45 p.m. ET the smart play is on Venezuela, even though Spain is the biggest name.
In the mid-afternoon, you have your choice of soccer or a MLB pitching duel. The "under" has the odds for the Egypt-Italy match while Dan Haren has the slight advantage of Tim Lincecum in innings pitched.
This evening, the Mercury are strong favorites and the 60 points or fewer option looks like the right play on paper because, well... that is A LOT of points!
NCAA Football: Colorado @ West Virginia
Colorado has not lived up to expectations so far this season and now they have a tough road test in West Virginia. The Mountaineers are a 17-point favorite, so do you think the Buffaloes can come close to that amount?
The StreakMaster did some more damage to streaks, as Streakers finished with a 41.8 overall winning percentage. The big losses came from Honduras, the Twins and Hawaii.
