We will finish the next two days with three windows a piece.
We start in the English Conference with Cambridge United favored on the road against Woking.
Our other matchups include: the Rangers (-107) hosting the Devils, the Magic (-2.5) at the Heat and a "higher total" prop between David Lee's rebounds and the Utah Jazz winning margin. Keep in the mind the Jazz are favored by 11 points.
CBI: UTEP vs. Oregon State
UTEP takes on Oregon State in the CBI Championship Series with the game marked as a pick'em. UTEP has the better record but Oregon State played in the better conference this season.
Drockromero's late push ended suddenly at 25 last night thanks to Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets who defeated the Spurs 90-86. As for the rest of the crowd, the overall winning percentage was 44.6 percent.
Just a few matchups on this Streak Sunday.
In the afternoon slot we give the MLS a shot on the board with Chivas USA receiving the draw on the road at FC Dallas.
But, don't forget the other half of the Elite Eight with our two "total points" props.
NBA: San Antonio Spurs at New Orleans Hornets
ESPN has the game of the night when the Hornets take on the Spurs (-1). The Spurs seem to be the better team this season but with the Hornets at home, this one could go either way.
Streakers finished the day with a decent, 52.2 winning percentage. But, all the talk yesterday was about drockromero who barely squeaked by to get to 24 wins with his "over" pick between UConn and Missouri. Can he hold on?
Golf, soccer, and a couple showdowns with the Final Four at stake.
Two older gentlemen who can really hit the ball tee off at 8:45 for a 9-hole Streak matchup.
After a couple days off, soccer returns! Finland matches up against Wales in a World Cup qualifying match; a bit later Scotland plays the Netherlands in a Streak total-goals proposition matchup.
NCAA Tournament (Boston, MA) - Villanova Wildcats vs. Pittsburgh Panthers
The Big East has showed the country that its lofty reputation was deserved. Now, however, one of the top conference teams will go on to the Final Four, and another will have its season end. You know the stars, and you know what's at stake - early Streakers are leaning to the Panthers.
There's still room for hockey. The Blue Jackets visit the Blues as the NHL season nears the end.
Streakers beat the Streak to the tune of 60 percent on Friday. The Leaderboard also took another huge step towards the magic 27 number.
More golf, more hoops. There are four more battles to reach the Elite Eight tonight, and we've got a matchup for each of them.
Louisville is a big favorite over Arizona, so we've put up a total-points proposition. Streakers get to decide whether the two teams wil reach 140 points combined, or not.
NCAA Tournament (Boston, MA) - Syracuse Orange vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Another great matchup that the books have dead even. Blake Griffin is the favorite for Player of the Year, but will that be enough to overcome the talented and gutty Syracuse team? Oklahoma's guards will be put to the test as Devendorf and Rautins will be looking to shoot the long ball whenever they get the opportunity.
A couple hours later, Kansas takes on Michigan State at Indianapolis. Kansas is famous for traveling well, but the Spartans should own most of the crowd.
In the final NCAA game of the night, Gonzaga looks to upset the Tar Heels. Both the Streak and the books expect this to be a high-scoring affair, so we've set our total-points proposition number at more than 160 points. Whew!
A mediocre day for Streakers, as they ended up at 44 percent. Most of the damage occurred in the morning when Pat Perez eked out a 1-stroke win in the first golf proposition.
Our first golf of the week, including a Tiger proposition, and the second week of NCAA tourney action. There's also some NHL and NBA. Soccer has a brief respite, as almost all of the major soccer leagues have the day off.
Originally, the Streak posted a matchup between Anthony Kim and David Toms, but Kim's illness has caused that matchup to be cancelled. As a replacement, we've put up a Charles Howell III vs. Pat Perez matchup - first nine holes only. The duo tees off (with Sean O'Hair) at 8:36 a.m.
We follow up with another challenge for Tiger, who so far this year is winless on the Streak. He'll need to shoot 68 or lower on the tough Bay Hill course to break his schneid on Thursday.
UConn and Pitt are both sizable favorites in the third round of the NCAA tournament. Both teams tip off around 7:10 p.m., so we've matched them against each other in a winning margin contest. Which Big East number one seed do you think will win by more points?
NCAA Tournament (Boston, MA) - Villanova Wildcats vs. Duke Blue Devils
Expect this to be the game of the night! Little Gerald and Kyle Singler are slight favorites against Dante and the gang, but many fans are smelling upset after Villanova's dismantling of UCLA last weekend.
Streakers started off well when SC Rheindorf Altach scored a late goal to gain the draw in the morning soccer matchup. From there it was up and down, but the early surge was enough to carry them to a winning day at about 55 percent.
No prop bets on the board today, as the sports schedule cooperates with a lot of games that look to be close contests from beginning to end. It includes four games you can view on ESPN or ESPN2 - two from The Association and the last two NIT quarterfinal showdowns.
Austrian soccer hits the slate when SC Rheindorf Altach visits Kapfenberg SV. As they say in Vienna, when these two clubs meet all bets are off. Nevertheless, the Streak has posted it, with Altach getting the draw as well.
The first NIT quarterfinal of the night starts at 7 p.m. when Kentucky visits Notre Dame. It's a bit of a comedown for the hallowed programs to miss the NCAA, but anyone who watched these teams play a few nights ago knows that there's no lack of desire. With Meeks from the outside and Harangody inside, contrasting styles from the two stars will make this a contest of strategy as well as players.
An hour later, the reigning NBA champs visit Orlando. The Big Ticket has returned from his injury and has no intention of losing to Dwight Howard and the gang.
NIT Tournament - St. Mary's Gaels at San Diego State Aztecs
The Gaels have gotten a lot of press this season, but the Aztecs have been no slouches themselves. St. Mary's makes the trip down from Moraga to see if they can earn a trip to the Big Apple. Early Streakers are overwhelmingly favoring Patty's gang.
Streakers started off poorly and ended up at a dismal 40 percent for the day.
Baylor-Auburn 3-pointer matchup score corrected updated at 9:39 p.m.
The Baylor Auburn "MORE 3-POINTERS" matchup was mis-scored at the end of the game, with Baylor credited with the win. That score has now been corrected to show Auburn as the matchup winner, and all affected streaks have also been corrected. Our apologies for the mistake and subsequent confusion.
The board calms down a bit today with just one soccer match, a few NIT games and a few matchups in the professional ranks.
In English League One, Hereford United travels to Carlisle United. Even with Hereford receiving the draw, the home squad still has the odds in their favor.
For the first time in Streak, we have a "total goals" matchup that has the over/under listed at 6.5 goals. 7 goals seems like a lot but with these two high scoring clubs (Washington and Toronto) there is a good chance it can happen. Other NHL odds for the night: Predators (-140) host the Ducks and the Stars (-115) host the Canucks.
Our NBA matchups feature the Pistons at the Bulls and a "more points" matchup, featuring the combo of Ron Artest and Yao Ming of the Rockets against Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer of the Jazz. Both sides average about 37 points per game, so it should be very close.
NIT Tournament (Baylor @ Auburn): Which TEAM will score MORE 3-POINTERS?
Both these teams live and die from beyond the arc therefore we had to throw this matchup on the board. Baylor hits 8.1 three-pointers per game while Auburn hits 7.7 per game. With Auburn favored by six in the game, it makes the matchup close to even. Take your pick, but be careful!
Streakers stayed above the .500 mark once again, finishing the day off with a 58.1 overall winning percentage. The only streak breaker was the Russian Premier League "total goals" matchup that finished with just one goal scored. drockromero is the new leader of the segment, now with 20 wins in a row!
Sadly, we return to the same old Monday board. Soccer kicks off the day, followed by some puck action, basketball and the WBC Championship.
If you want to make a run for the million, you may want to start at noon with our "total goals" matchup in the Russian Premier League. The under is slightly favored to give you a little hint. Then at 3:45 p.m. the Kidderminster Harriers are on the road at Wrexham.
If you still need your March Madness fix, tune into ESPN for the second round of the NIT. Our first matchup features Kentucky on the road at Creighton (-2). Davidson and St. Mary's finish off the night on ESPN2 with the Patty Mills led club favored by four points.
If the NIT isn't enough, The StreakMaster listed a few CBI matchups as well. Stanford (-1) squares off against Wichita State and Oregon State (-1) hosts Vermont.
In the professional league, we have a super-hero prop featuring the "Superman" Dwight Howard against "Krypto" Nate Robinson. Keep in mind Robinson had 27 in their last meeting, while Howard only scored 18.
NHL favorites for the night: Flyers (-105), Hurricanes (-110), and the Red Wings (-110).
Can Korea win their first WBC title or will Japan destroy their dream? Tune into ESPN at 9:00 to witness history!
Streakers finished with an astonoshing 71.6 winning percentage. All of the madness favorites took care of business with Syracuse, Michigan State, Xavier and Missouri all winning. The only big loss for Streakers was the U.S. loss to Japan late last night.
Today's board is day-heavy but nonetheless packed with soccer, golf, hockey and basketball.
ESPN360 broadcasts our soccer matchups with Ajax Amsterdam as the slight favorites on the road in the Dutch league while the "under" has the edge in the Italian Series.
You could not ask for more of a variety in our noon time-slot. Syracuse (-2) takes on Arizona State, the Flyers are favorites on the road at Pittsburgh and the Heat are favored in Motown. You can't forget Nascar either, where we have Edwards going up against Gordon.
In the late afternoon, it is all March Madness. Xavier (-3) takes on Wisconsin, Arizona (-3) squares off against potential "Cinderella" Cleveland State, Missouri (-3.5) plays Marquette and finally, Michigan State (-3.5) goes up against USC.
WBC Semi-Finals: United States vs. Japan
The U.S. looks to put an end to Japan's quest to repeat as World Baseball Classic champions in L.A. The American's are favored at -135 but don't sleep on Japan, they will be giving it their all in this one.
Streakers did a little better yesterday, finishing with a 48.6 overall winning percentage. There were no major streak breakers but the top extender was Villanova, who looked very impressive against UCLA. Our leader is sitting at the top with 18 wins in a row.
Today might be the most complete board we've ever had. Streakers can put together a nice run here or lose six in a row, who knows.
In the morning it's either English Premier or the NIT. Tottenham gets the slight edge in our soccer matchup with the draw at home while Virginia Tech (-3) is favored against Baylor.
At 1:00 p.m. Can Villanova (-1) use their home-court advantage to work against UCLA? Can Ireland defeat Wales (-130) on the road in the Rugby Union?
In the late afternoon, we have Clint Bowyer going up against Kevin Harvick in the Nationwide Series Turf Builder 300. Harvick has the odds and the streakers in his favor so far. Also, Memphis looks to bounce back after a wake-up call from Cal State Northridge when they take on UConn in a "larger winning margin" matchup. UConn is favored by 10 against Texas A&M while Memphis is 9-point favorites against the Terps.
After supper, the Panthers host the Blue Jackets in the NHL, Duke takes on Gonzaga in another "larger winning margin" prop and Korea faces Venezula in the first semi-final of the WBC.
NCAA Tournament Second Round: No. 5 Purdue vs. No. 4 Washington
The Huskies hope to have the crowd on their side when they take on the Boilermakers in Oregon. Washington is 1-point favorites but the public has Purdue favored at 53 percent. The game should come down to the wire with a precious sweet sixteen bid at stake.
Streakers struggled from the field with a 38.3 overall winning percentage. Florida State cleared the leaderboard after their overtime loss to Wisconsin. Other bad losses were Tennessee, Utah and Ohio State.
Golf to start and the NBA to finish, with a little "Madness" in between.
In the Noon time-slot, Oklahoma State (-2) has the slight edge on Tennessee in our "straight-up matchup." At the same time, we have a battle of the three-seeds with Syracuse going up against Kansas for a "larger margin of victory".
At 3:00 p.m. we throw out our first "total points" matchup of the NCAA tournament between Dayton and West Virginia. If you need a break from basketball, we have a soccer matchup from Germany with VfL Bochum getting the edge with the draw on their side.
The only 12-seed favored in the tournament is Arizona (-1) who goes up against Utah. Can the last team in pull off the win against a 5-seed?
Mark Titus' Ohio State Buckeyes take on potential sleeper, Siena in our nightcap with the Buckeyes favored by three. We also have Florida State (-2) against Wisconsin.
NCAA Tournament First Round: No.10 USC vs. No. 7 Boston College
This could be the game of the day with the Pac-10 going up against the ACC. The Eagles are favored by two points but there are many brackets that have USC on the bottom line. It will be interesting to see how this one unfolds.
Streakers started off March Madness on the right foot nailing 67 percent of their picks. The big winners of the day were Notre Dame, Maryland and LSU.
Golf, NHL, and the debut of MSL Soccer! And there's also some college basketball tournament.
Out in Tampa they're hitting the small ball, so we've put up a quick 9-holer as a Streak appetizer. It's Imada vs. O'Hair, and early Streakers like Sean by a 95-5 margin.
In the early NCAA action, we've posted Butler vs. LSU and Texas A&M vs. BYU. Later on there's Cal against Maryland. For the night action, we have two different "larger margin of victory" props for games between mismatched seeds.
MLS Soccer - New York Red Bulls at Seattle Sounders FC
We open the MLS season with the MLS's newest team - the Seattle Sounders have high hopes and already what is perhaps the best fan base in the country. Check out the action at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
Streakers were back to losing, largely due to the porous defense of Sturm Graz. The American WBC team dealt another blow, and the Vandals finished off any hopes for a winning day when they defeated Drake. Added up, it was a miserable Wednesday at about 35 percent.
It's NBA Wednesday on ESPN, and the Streak includes two player matchups. There's also soccer, NHL, non-NCAA college basketball, and the USA's WBC game.
Sturm Graz invades FC Karnten in Austrian Bundesliga action. The teams are neck-and-neck in the standings, so the visitor gets the draw.
The USA plays Venezuela in a game that will help determine the semifinal matchups in the WBC. Will the Yanks be able to maintain their focus in a mostly meaningless game after Tuesday night's exciting comeback victory?
NIT Tournament -- Georgetown Hoyas at Baylor Bears
A few months ago, these teams were looking to be ranked in the top 10. Now, they're looking for redemption after missing the NCAA tournament. While it's only a first-round matchup, both these teams have the ability to go all the way. Baylor is favored at the sports books, but early Streakers are siding with the Hoyas.
A stellar Tuesday for Streakers at almost 65 percent, punctuated at the end by the Gaels' easy victory over Washington State which advanced about half of the Leaderboard.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! We have some soccer to start the day to go along with a board dominated by college basketball.
How fitting is it that we have a Northern Irish Premier matchup to kick off the day? With the home squad receiving the draw, Newry gets the edge here. Later on, Hull City and Arsenal combine for a "Total goals" matchup with the extra time included if necessary.
Our NHL favorites are the Senators (-125) and the Capitals (-110).
The NIT first round starts tonight with South Carolina (-3.5) and St. Mary's (-4) favored in our "Straight-up" matchups. Meanwhile we have a "Total points" matchup between UAB and Notre Dame and a "more three's" matchup with UNLV (7.6) against Kentucky (5.2).
In NBA action, we ask "Who will have a larger margin or victory," the Celtics (-3) or the Mavericks (-5). Don't forget the "Total points" matchup between the 76ers and the Lakers.
NCAA Tournament Opening Round (Dayton, OH): Who will WIN this matchup?
The Madness starts tonight in Dayton, Ohio with the Morehead State Eagles taking on the Alabama State Hornets. The Eagles are favored by three in this one but in these kind of matchups, anything goes. Nobody wants to be the first team out!
Streakers started the week on the wrong foot ending the day with a 41.1 overall winning percentage. The top streak breaker was American, James Blake who lost to Fernando Gonzalez rather easily. Thankfully, Cuba took care of business to help out the other half of the leaderboard.
The Streak takes a bit of a breather on Monday, as college basketball has a day off and the major professional leagues have light schedules. We've included some top-20 tennis and more WBC as compensation.
Our tennis match comes from Indian Wells, California, where most of the world's top players are participating in the BNP Paribas Open. James Blake faces Fernando Gonzalez of Chile. This matchup follows an earlier match on the same court, so expect the start time to be adjusted throughout Monday.
At 3:15 p.m. Streak favorite Mainz visits SV Wehen in 2. Bundesliga action. Mainz is also the betting favorite, so we're giving the home team the draw.
The Rockets visit the Hornets in the only NBA game on our board. Houston hasn't missed a beat since trading Rafer Alston, as Aaron Brooks has stepped up his production. The Hornets have been hot as well, winning eight of their last ten.
World Baseball Challenge Round Two - Venezuela vs. Puerto Rico
Live on ESPN, Pool 2's two undefeateds play at 8:00 p.m. in Miami. Early Streakers are loving P.R., but we at the Streak know that the King is hard to bring down. Who is right? Tune in and find out!
A mixed day that ended on the upside for Streakers when Korea easily handled Mexico in the WBC night game to bring the final win rate to 63 percent. Still, a large number of Leaders went down when the Daddy beat down Jack in the NBA's highest scoring game of the year.
Championship Week comes to a close with one final college basketball prop. Next week - the NCAA tournament! For Sunday, the rest of the slate is a gallimaufry of soccer, rugby, hockey, NBA, and three different World Baseball Classic matchups.
Our first soccer match is from Italy, where Torino is visiting Atalanta for a Serie A clash. Torino is getting the draw.
Six Nations Rugby returns, and it's the granddaddy of all matchups. England hosts France in a sporting reprisal of the Hundred Years' War. Early Streakers are showing a clear anti-Gallic bias, as the British are currently getting over 95 percent of the selections.
We stay in England for the second soccer matchup - Tottenham Hotspur travels to Aston Villa in a Premier League contest. The Spurs get the draw in this one.
Here's a shocker - Tiger didn't make a cut! In this case, it's the SFTC cut; after three days of disappointment, we've left him off our board. Instead we've added archrival Phil Mickelson, who's alone against the field in our golf matchup for the day. Will Phil win the WGC tournamnet? You make the call.
World Baseball Challenge Round Two - Cuba vs. Japan
The competition goes up a notch as we enter the second phase of the WBC. International powerhouses Cuba and Japan face off in a day game at San Diego's Petco Park. Catch the action on ESPN2 at 4 p.m.
The LSU Tigers took down another passel of Leaders as Streakers suffered through a mediocre Championship Saturday. When all was said and done, they were below 45 percent once again.
WBC matchup cancelled updated at 7:31 p.m.
Dustin Pedroia has been scratched from Team USA's lineup, so anyone selecting that matchup has been given a push and may select another matchup.
College basketball continues to dominate the slate as Championship Week nears its conclusion. We've also snuck in a couple golf props, a soccer match, an NBA game and some hockey. The highlight of the day is, of course, curling.
Our soccer match is early in the morning, but it's worth missing breakfast for - EPL powerhouses Manchester United and Liverpool face off at Old Trafford. United has been unstoppable lately, so we're giving Liverpool the draw - will it be enough?
Eldrick "Tiger" Woods is on the board for a third straight day - will Saturday be the charm? Once again the Streak challenges him to shoot 67 or better, and once again the Early Streakers are saying "No!".
Curling returns - this time it's the men who are sliding the stone in Calgary. Upstart Manitoba looks to make it through to the next round of the playoffs, but standing in their way is skip Brad Gushue and the rest of his Newfie team.
With the top three seeds eliminated, the Pac-10 Tournament will be won by either Arizona State or USC. While just about everyone expects the Sun Devils to have a lock on the NCAA Tourney, the Trojans are in a much more precarious position and could well need to win this game to avoid the NIT.
Championship Week - Larger Margin of Victory: Temple vs. Missouri
At 6 p.m., ESPN and ESPN2 bring you two different conference championship games. Both games have favorites - Temple over Duquesne in the Atlantic 10 final, and Missouri over Baylor in the Big 12 final. Streakers can choose which favorite they think will win by more points. As always, a loss is considered a 0 margin of victory.
Streakers shot 60 percent for the second straight day, narrowly avoiding losses when Florida State won in the last few seconds of regulation and the Detroit Pistons pulled out a victory in overtime. Still, Syracuse's upset of West Virginia did some damage to the Leaderboard, and only one user has a current streak that's more than 15 wins.
College basketball, more college basketball, and more college basketball. Plus a repeat Tiger prop, Portuguese soccer, and an NBA game.
The hoops begins at noon, and you can choose your channel: On ESPN, we have a player prop in our Big Ten game, while on ESPN2 we offer a total points proposition for the Virginia Tech-North Carolina tilt.
Despite his travails yesterday, Tiger is back up on our board, and this time he needs to shoot 67 or less to make our under. Early Streakers are showing little faith in Eldrick.
At 2:30 p.m., we have another pair of college basketball games. This time, both are offered straight up: Ohio State vs. Wisconsin on ESPN, and Georgia Tech vs. Florida State on ESPN2.
Big East Tourney (Villanova vs. Louisville) - Scottie Reynolds vs. Earl Clark
For what may be the best game of the day, we've posted a points-only player contest between these two college stars. Both teams play aggressive defense, so don't expect easy buckets on either side.
In the final Big East game of the night, West Virginia faces Syracuse. Will the Orange be able to summon up enough energy to win after Thursday's jaw-dropping 6-OT thriller?
Streakers, buoyed by victories from the Maryland Terrapins and the Cleveland Cavaliers, beat the Streak to the tune of 60 percent.
If you love March Madness then you are going to enjoy our jam-packed board today. But, don't fear hockey fans, we still have matchups for you, too.
In the midst of all this college basketball, we still make some room for Tiger Woods. Will he shoot 68 or lower? 69 or Higher? You make the call.
At noon, do you take your chances on Miami (-2) or Virginia Tech or head to NYC and take a chance on our player matchup between Sharaud Curry and Terrence Williams. If you haven't been following the Big East tournament, Curry is on fire!
In the 2:00 p.m. time-slot you can decide whether or not the Iowa-Michigan game reaches 120 points or take your pick between Villanova (-2.5) or Marquette.
At 5:00 p.m. ET, You roll the dice with another over/under in the Big Ten or switch to the WAC tournament and decide who will make more three's -- Fresno State (7.2 per game) or Utah State (6.2).
Favorites for our NHL matchups: Flyers, Blue Jackets and the Wild.
In the NBA, the Lakers (-2.5) take on the Spurs in San Antonio and the Cavs (-4) look to avoid the upset on the road at the Suns.
ACC Tournament Winner: NC State vs. Maryland
You can't ask for a better first round matchup then this. The Terrapins look like a shoe-in on paper, but they're only three point favorites here against the Wolfpack. Can Gary Williams' club hang-on and keep his team on the bubble? We shall see.
Streakers took a beating from The StreakMaster, netting a frustrating 38.1 overall winning percentage. The over/unders were the big streak breakers but thankfully Kobe Bryant hit the "over" to save the day from being miserable.
Welcome a special mid-day to midnight Streak board! The Big East, Big 12 and UEFA Champions League dominate the board today.
At Noon ET, you can either take your chances with the over/under matchup between new fan-favorite DePaul and Providence or play "straight up" with Baylor (-1) versus Nebraska.
In the afternoon, you can stay in the college basketball world with Dwight Thorne II (12 ppg) against Texas (-15) or head overseas for a "total goals" prop between Lyon and Barcelona or pick the ultimate toss-up matchup with Inter Milan's team goals against two of the world's most popular footballers, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo's goals.
In the early evening, go over/under with Iowa State and Oklahoma State or play from beyond the arc in the Northeast Conference Championship. Robert Morris averages more three's per game but in head to head action, Mount St. Mary's has won both times from downtown.
NBA (Lakers @ Rockets): How many POINTS will Kobe Bryant SCORE?
This matchup could also read, Kobe Bryant's offense versus Shane Battier's defense. In light of this New York Times article, we are putting the "No-Stats All-Star" to the test. Can the 6-foot-8 inch forward hold the 2008 NBA MVP under 30 points? Read the article and make the call!
Streakers had another semi-average day overall, finishing with a 46.3 winning percentage. Real Madrid's loss and the "under" between Cincinnati and DePaul caused the major destruction. The StreakMaster has not seen a leaderboard this weak in quite some time!
You wanted the Big East, now you get the Big East!
DePaul and Cincinnati gets us started today at noon ET, with the over/under listed at 129.5 points. Up next, two leading scorers slug it out with Summers as the favorite (-140).
The Champions League also makes its return today, with Real Madrid getting the slight edge in this one with the draw. The match between Lisbon and Munich is dead even with the over/under at 2.5 goals. Remember both matches only include the 90 minutes plus any INJURY time (not extra time).
In professional sports we have the Capitals (-110) at the Predators, the Blues (-130) hosting the Stars and the Bucks (-3.5) playing host to the Knicks.
Don't forget to Streak great, even late! Fresno State (-1) takes on Hawaii in the first round of the WAC tournament.
Horizon League Final (Cleveland State vs. Butler): How many "Total Points" will be scored?
This one should be a low scoring affair, so chose wisely. In their two meetings this season the totals have been 120 and 125 with Butler winning both times.
Streakers finished just a tad below .500 with a 43.9 overall winning percentage. A Lakers loss to the Trail Blazers was the biggest streak breaker. Only one entry with 17 wins in a row as of today.
Soccer, NBA, NHL, WBC, and a couple conference championship games make up Monday's slate. When teams are looking to punch their NCAA tickets, anything can happen!
With most major European soccer leagues on hiatus, the Streak makes its first trip to Denmark, where AGF Aarhus hosts Vejle. No, I can't pronounce either team's name correctly, but the visitor is getting the draw.
Metro Atlantic Championship -- Niagara Purple Eagles vs. Siena Saints
Niagara and Siena were the two top seeds in the conference tournament, and they've both made it through to the championship game. Sporting gaudy records with only seven losses each, they'll compete for the golden ticket at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN2, with the key matchup being Tyrone Lewis vs. Kenny Hasbrouck at the guard position. The game is being played in Albany, N.Y.
An hour later, the Lakeshow visits Portland, where they've lost six games in a row. Early Streakers don't seem to care, as they are currently selecting Kobe and the gang by an amazing 98-2 margin.
The Leaderboard keeps sinking, this time at the hands of the Boston Celtics and a few other contributors. Streakers were a dismal 37 percent for all of Sunday, and have now been on the wrong side of even four out of the last five days.
Lee vs Ramirez matchup cancelled updated at 6:13 p.m. ET
Hanley Ramirez did not start for the Dominican Republic in Sunday's WBC game, so the total bases matchup has been voided.
We hope you remembered to set your clock forward! Soccer, the end of the Honda Classic, an intriguing format in the bowling, lots of hockey and basketball. Also, a couple more player matchups for the WBC.
The PBA Buckeye State Eliminator begins at 10 a.m. on ESPN. All four finalists will bowl the first game; after the low scorer is dropped the three bowlers remaining will repeat the process. At that point the two left standing will have a one-game playoff for the championship. We've split the bowlers into two duos - this matchup could go final before the final game.
NBA (Phoenix at San Antonio) -- Shaquille O'Neal vs. Tim Duncan
The two best NBA big men of the last twenty years go head-to-head in the scoring matchup. While Tim has the higher average for the season, Shaq has stepped it up since the injury to Amare Stoudemire.
The Streak lists another scoring contest in the 4 p.m. slot - this time it's college teammates in perhaps the best rivalry of them all: Kyle Singler and Gerald Henderson of Duke take on Tyler Hansbrough and Danny Green of North Carolina.
A down day for Streakers, and particularly for the Leaderboard, where over half of the top fifty went down at some point on Saturday. The main culprit was Maryland, who for the second season in a row lost a crucial game to Virginia. Streakers ended up at 42 percent.
LSU-Auburn game score updated updated at 7:34 p.m. ET
The matchup scores now reflect the final totals. No other changes were made as Auburn won the game.
LSU-Auburn game erroneously marked Final at halftime updated at 5:09 p.m. ET
We are investigating the problem further. The game will remain marked as Final and Streakers selecting this matchup can now select their next matchup. The teams' scores will be updated after the game is completed and affected Streakers will be rescored accordingly if necessary.
Total Bases calculation updated at 12:09 p.m. ET
There is a bit of confusion (and misinformation) in the Conversations about how to calculate Total Bases. Only hits count towards the total, with singles, doubles, triples, and home runs counting correspondingly for 1, 2, 3, and 4 total bases.
A busy Saturday, highlighted by two World Baseball Classic matchups. We close in the unusual location of Columbus, Ohio, where UFC 96 is taking place.
The morning begins in Europe, where two of soccer's best-known teams are in Streak action. First, AS Roma hosts Udinese in a Serie A match. Udinese needs only a draw to win the Streak matchup. Then a few minutes after this match is scheduled to finish, Manchester United visits Fulham for an FA Cup quarterfinal encounter. This time it's the home squad that receives the draw.
WBC (USA vs. Canada) -- Justin Morneau vs. Derek Jeter
Baseball makes its 2009 debut on the Streak when the USA national team takes on Canada in Toronto. We've listed a total bases matchup between 2006 AL MVP Morneau and Derek "Mr. November" Jeter. Will the Yankees' beloved shortstop prove to be Mr. March as well?
At 9 p.m. the No. 5 Louisville Cardinals visit West Virginia in yet another Big East showdown. While the oddsmakers see the Mountaineers as slight favorites, early Streakers are tilting heavily in the Cards' direction.
Streakers stormed back with a vengeance on Friday as they rode Bradley, James Madison, and the Miami Heat to a huge day, winning about 70 percent of their selections. The Leaderboard took a corresponding step forward, as most of the top Streaks picked at least one of those teams to win.
We have mixed it up a bit with the golf -- instead of a single 18-hole matchup, the Streak has put up two different nine-hole matchups. There is also soccer, hockey, and basketball on the slate.
The first nine-hole matchup is an early bird special -- international stars Justin Rose and Miguel Jimenez tee off at 7:18 a.m. ET. They'll both be playing the front side, as will the contestants in our next matchup -- Charlie Wi and J.J. Henry. Just one bad hole can sink a golfer in these short matches, so watch out!
After Thursday's snow, we're moving our soccer game south in hopes of avoiding a repeat. Eredivisie stalwart Sparta Rotterdam hosts Willem II Tilburg at 2:45 p.m., with the visitors getting the draw as well.
NBA -- Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics
The two best teams in the Eastern Conference face off in Beantown, and home-field advantage in the conference finals could be at stake. The defending champs have proven tough to beat even without Kevin Garnett. However, the Cavs have been on a mission recently, winning nine of their last 10 games.
The Leaderboard continued to take hits on Thursday, as South Carolina's loss to Tennessee took down almost half of the top fifty. The rest of the board wasn't much kinder, as Streakers ended up under 40 percent for the second straight day.
Tennessee-South Carolina matchup updated to correct final score 8:56 p.m. ET
As Tennessee was the winner, no other adjustment will be made.
Tennessee-South Carolina game mistakenly marked Final at halftime 8:17 p.m. ET
Our apologies for the technical difficulty. The team scores will be corrected after the game is completed and Streakers will be rescored accordingly if necessary.
Soccer Match Postponed, Tournament Challenge StreakMaster Group 10:48 a.m. ET
Our English Conference Conference match has been postponed due to heavy snow in the local area of Weymouth. The picks have been unlocked.
Also, The StreakMaster has created his own "celebrity" Tournament Challenge group for all to join. Play Tournament Challenge!
We head to Palm Beach Gardens in Florida for the PGA Honda Classic. The best matchup on the course is between Ernie Els and Camilo Villegas. Both golfers have the same odds to win the group. Our second group tees off at 12:34 a.m. ET, with some expert's favorite, Robert Allenby against American, Boo Weekley.
Our English Conference matchup features a "total goals" matchup between York City and Weymouth with the over/under at 2.5 goals.
On the hardwood we have South Carolina (-2) hosting Tennessee, Providence against Villanova in a "more three-pointers" matchup, a pair of team scoring leaders in Chris Wright (Dayton) and Derrick Brown (Xavier) battling it out for more points and a "total points" prop between California and Arizona. Don't forget about CP3 and Dirk in a higher total matchup. Both superstars should be in the 33-35 range.
NCAA Basketball: No. 23 Illinois at Penn State
The Nittany Lions need a win on Senior Night to punch a potential ticket to the "Big Dance," and there is no better opponent for that "big win" than Illinois. The Fighting Illini are favored by two on the road but this matchup has "StreakMaster Trap" written all over it.
Streakers finally get bitten by The StreakMaster, finishing the day with a miserable 26.6 overall winning percentage. Boston College and Oklahoma did some damage to our leaderboard but so did Inter Milan, who took down our former leader.
Soccer, basketball and hockey combine for 12 matchups in three windows.
The second semifinal match of the Coppa Italia kicks us off at 2:45 p.m. ET on ESPN360 with both teams receiving odds to win the first leg. Our second match is for the United fans, with Manchester United and Newcastle combining forces for a "total goals" matchup. The under is the surprising favorite here.
Two ACC matchups headline our second window, with BC (-2) at NC State and a "total points" matchup between North Carolina and Virginia Tech with the over/under at 155.5 points.
If you're waiting for the big college game tonight, we have the matchup for you! The top scorers from Marquette and Pittsburgh square off in a "more points" prop with both combos' looking to net 40 points each. If Marquette can keep it close without Dominic James, McNeal and Matthews get the slight advantage over Young and Blair.
Down in Big 12 country, No. 5 Oklahoma looks to prepare for NCAA tournament action when they travel to Missouri to take on the Tigers (-2). Also, the Gators of Florida look to take a chomp out of Mississippi State (pick'em).
Other notable matchups: Sabres (-117) vs. Canadiens, Suns at Heat, Kansas' 3-pointers (6.4) against Texas Tech's (7.1) and Rudy Gay's points and assists vs. Marcus Camby's points and rebounds.
NBA Basketball: San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks
The Spurs head up the interstate to take on the Mavericks in Dallas at 9:05 p.m. ET on ESPN. Can Tony Parker keep up his stellar play or will Dirk and company take care of business at home? You make the call!
Streakers had another above average day, finishing with a 55.5 overall winning percentage. The only big streak breaker was Juventus who gave up two unanswered goals in their loss. Our leader is still at 19 wins in a row.
Also, congratulations to John Gilbreth, our February Monthly Winner.
We have a little bit of everything today along with a possible three-win day.
In afternoon soccer, two of the world's premier clubs -- Chelsea and Arsenal square-off in a "more goals" matchup. Both squads have the same odds for a win as well as total goals. In the Coppa Italia, Juventus is on the road at Lazio with both squads receiving the same odds to win therefore we left out the draw.
In the 7:00 p.m. ET time-slot, the Panthers (-120) are at the Thrashers, Michigan State and Indiana join forces for a "total points" matchup and the Bobcats (-3) host the Bulls.
In our third window, Wake Forest (-2) looks to avoid the upset in College Park against Maryland and the state of Alabama is sure to go crazy with their Auburn-Alabama rivalry. The Crimson Tide (-1.5) are the favorites at home against their rivals.
Don't forget the late-night action with the Pacers (-2) at the Kings and a "total goals" matchup between the Stars and the Sharks.
NCAA Basketball: Which team will have a "larger margin of victory"?
Keep a close eye on these three bubble teams that make up this matchup. Oklahoma State and Kansas State both need this game, while Georgetown is of course in a must-win game against St. John's. The Cowboys are favored by 5.5 while the Hoyas are favored by 6 on the road.
Streakers had an average day, finishing with a 56.4 winning percentage. The only big streak breaker of the day was Guimares who fell 1-0 to Braga in Portuguese soccer action. Our leader is still at 19 wins in a row!
A very quiet Monday, with many leagues on a limited schedule. Big Monday college basketball is the highlight, with two good games on ESPN.
Portuguese soccer makes a rare Streak appearance. Sporting Braga hosts Guimaraes; we're giving the visitors the draw as well.
In the only NHL game of the night, the Colorado Avalanche visit the New York Islanders. Despite their poor overall record, Colorado's recent surge has put them in sight of the playoffs; the Islanders are playing for pride.
NCAA basketball - No. 12 Villanova Wildcats at Notre Dame Fighting Irish
The Big East has been a tremendous battle all season long, and tonight is no different. Despite their gaudy record, the Wildcats are slight underdogs to the Irish according to the sportsbooks. Early Streakers see it differently, currently favoring Villanova by a 4-1 margin.
Our late night matchup is an NBA player scoring battle between Tony Parker of the Spurs and Zach Randolph of the Clippers. Randolph has been money recently, but Parker figures to pick up some extra opportunities with San Antonio's current injuries.
In a day full of close calls, Streakers ended up under 50 percent once again, this time due to Indiana's home win over the Denver Nuggets. On the Leaderboard, one Streaker is clear of the field by two wins with his 19-gamer.
The usual fine fare - final rounds of golf tourneys, European soccer, PBA, NASCAR, and lots of basketball.
Geoff Ogilvy and Paul Casey are the last two men standing in the WGC Match Play Championships. They'll tangle for a scheduled 36 holes in the Arizona sun - with Geoff a decent favorite, he'll need to win by hole 33 in our matchup.
We've got a doubleshot of soccer this Sunday. We open with an EPL total-goals matchup for the Aston Villa - Stoke City tilt. Then we added a rare afternoon contest between Inter Milan and AS Roma - a match this compelling couldn't be left off the slate.
Richard Hamilton is right back up on the Streak. Following Friday's triumph, this time he takes on Ray Allen in a points-plus-assists affair. The Streak expects him to be in the starting lineup again, but playing at Boston can take a toll on one's statistics.
PBA (Indianapolis) - Will Wes Malott win the Etonic Marathon Open?
Our sponsored matchup goes 16 pounds large as Big Wes will try to win the stepladder finals from his top position. It won't be easy, though - his most likely candidate is PDW, who's been on his own roll (haha) lately.
Streakers continued their losing ways, finishing under 40 percent for a second straight day. Much of the blame goes to Arizona State, who fell in overtime to the surging Washington State Cougars.
